Hi, I'm Dorey!
There are two ways to play Canasta. You can play as if you are in Las Vegas and leave the game to chance or you can use your wits and strategy to win. I teach the latter which gets you more wins.
Why should you take private Canasta lessons with me?
I have been teaching beginners and seasoned players in Toronto and Florida since 2015.
You will learn more in a private class with me than in a large group class. I personalize your lessons according to your needs and schedule.
You are not alone; I am over your shoulder playing every turn with you.
Every student becomes a lifetime member of 'Canasta With Dorey' where you can ask me questions via email and receive quick answers.
We have fun and laugh a lot!
Classes and Fees
Beginner
Form your own group of 4 to 5 players.
If you don't have a group to learn with, I will put a beginners class together for you.
Beginners receive 4 lessons of 2 hours each.
I introduce strategy from the very beginning so it becomes a natural way of playing canasta for you.
You will be able to play the game after 4 lessons with me.
Intermediate and Advanced
Supervised play for seasoned players:
If you or your group already play canasta but think your game needs tweaking, a lesson or two with me will get you back on track and enjoying the game even more.
I am available for one, two, or more single classes of supervised play, remedial, or advanced strategy lessons.
On one visit I can determine what aspects are missing from your game and teach them to you.
Fee Schedule
Beginner series (includes 4 classes): $250 per person
Individual classes: $65 per person
All packages include a copy of my book, Canasta 101 and a cheat sheet to take to your games ($40 value)
